Measurement Specialties, Inc.  designs and manufactures high performance multi-parametric physical property sensors that simultaneously and directly measure the viscosity, density, dielectric constant and temperature of oils, lubricants, fuels, refrigerants, coolants and other fluids. Our sensors,based on the Visyx tuning fork technology provide real-time, in-situ monitoring of fluids contained in engines, machines, transmissions, gear boxes, hydraulics and other systems to determine the condition and quality of fluids that are fundamental to the operation of these critical assets. Our advanced sensors allow companies, OEM’s and asset reliability maintenance programs to proactively manage fluid change intervals to minimize asset downtime, maximize performance and profits, and protect the environment.

Our sensors utilize tuning fork technology that was developed, patented and broadly applied in a number of industries for nearly 10 years by Symyx Technologies. This robust sensor technology was tested in extreme operating conditions including pressures exceeding 10,000 psi, temperatures ranging from -250° C to >125° C and vibration extremes to 46 G rms. High performance engineering of the sensor is now focused to meet the stringent reliability, performance and high volume manufacturing demands of the transportation industry. The basic system architecture and performance envelope also supports the needs of industrial applications.
